The MC Dining Experience
In coordination with Chartwell's food service, Malden Catholic's dining focus will be to provide healthy and nutritionally balanced meals with increased selection. Other areas of importance include service, presentation, quality, and making the program student-friendly. The Profiles in Good Taste program is sure to meet all student dining needs and may include some or all of the following concepts:
-
Origins is a traditional school hot lunch station, rotating a variety of comfort foods such as casseroles, quality meats, and fresh vegetables. A variety of other foods will also rotate within this station.
-
Menutainment - This station offers non-traditional hot foods with a touch of culinary entertainment. Examples of our Specialty Bar highlights could be a Taco Bar, Potato Bar, Stir-Fry specials, or a Breakfast at Lunch Bar.
-
Outtakes - This “Grab and Go” station is ideal for customers in a hurry. It offers pre-packaged entrée salads, pre-made wraps, and a variety of yogurts. Station labels are placed on the packaged product, enabling the customer to identify the product with ease.
-
Au Bon Pain soups are a company-owned brand, a true winner when it comes to customer satisfaction. Au Bon Pain soups have developed a reputation for exceptional quality and taste. Soup varieties include traditional and seasonal soup selections. A kiosk is professionally displayed to offer a healthy a la carte selection.
-
Balanced Choices is Chartwells’ comprehensive approach to wellness. A team of our registered dietitians performed an exhaustive analysis on what other state agencies, school districts, and industry professionals are doing. The result is a branding concept of “better for you” snacks, beverages, and meals that meet specific nutritional criteria, easily identified with signage, labels, and markers.
We at MC are very excited about the new dining experience for our students and look forward to providing a quality school dining program. For more information, please visit www.eatlearnlive.com or call Mr. Frank Kivell at 781-322-3098 ext. 290.
