Plus Ultra Award
Established at commencement exercises on June 1, 1969, the Plus Ultra Award ("More Beyond")is conferred upon an adult citizen of the Malden Catholic Community each year at commencement. The purpose of the award is to honor a distinguished citizen of the civic community who, by devoted and dedicated use of talent and time by seriousness of purpose, by extraordinary fidelity to duty, has really contributed to the society in which we live. Malden Catholic hopes that, by conferring this award upon a distinguished and worthy citizen each year, that it reminds our students again of the values that are truly important in life, reminds the civic community again of our own purposes as an educational institution, and reminds ourselves of our responsibilities to all the citizens of the towns and cities we serve.
