What parents have to say about MC
Malden Catholic Nurtures Students
"Our family looked at several schools on the North Shore, before our son John, 2010 chose MC. John had a sense of belonging from the first time he visited Malden Catholic. We are impressed by the faculty's commitment to excellence, evidenced by the extra support given to help the students achieve their personal best. Every student is valued at Malden Catholic. The communication between the faculty and the family is superb. There is a sense of kindness that prevails at MC. The commitment to academic excellence, coupled with a nurturing Catholic identity and the welcoming family atmosphere has made our experience extraordinary. I am so proud when I have heard our son declare: 'He is a Catholic man.' This and so much more is MC."

MC Community Models and Teaches Respect
"Our son, Shawn, is at MC for many reasons. I could say he's continuing a legacy of 1 grandfather, 1 father, 5 uncles and 1 cousin, but he's at MC because the quality of education and the atmosphere in which it's presented is second to none. It needs to be understood that MC is a community where the philosophy taught, preached and learned is that everyone deserves to be respected as you want to be respected. No child is expected to go it alone; the availability of the staff is beyond what you could expect. They are available before the school day begins, after the school day is over, and online via email. They are working with your child constantly to make him the best he can be. The new Edline Report that comes out every two weeks gives parents the one-on-one information to know where their child stands academically, and where his struggles may be. Through this, Shawn has learned he is accountable for his actions/grades. The outside activities, whether it be sports or clubs, bring the whole experience full circle because the child works to keep his grades up to be part of the extended community, whatever it involves."
~ Carol Harvey, Mother of Shawn Harvey '10 -- Winthrop
Malden Catholic is a Family
"In my opinion, the family-like atmosphere is one of the prominent aspects of the Malden Catholic Community. The sense of togetherness is a huge part of the building blocks of Malden Catholic. I believe that the implications of family-like connections only makes Malden Catholic grow. I know by experience from MCLA (Malden Catholic parents club). Within the Malden Catholic community, I do not feel that I am " left in the dust," rejected, or disconnected from individuals. On the contrary, during my four years I have felt happy in times of delight and consoled in times of mourning."

MC Is More Than Just Academic Experience
"When we first began searching for a high school for our son we looked at academics and MC was at the top of the list. However, after three years of being part of the Malden Catholic family we've come to realize that academics is not all that MC offers. Michael's awareness has been sharpened. His compassion for others and the ways in which he acts to offer his assistance has flourished. He has been awakened to the needs of others, and that is a direct result of his education at Malden Catholic. You have opened his mind and his heart. You have challenged him to become a better student, a better son and a more caring person. You have urged him to "accept the challenge" and he has responded by performing "More Beyond".

Look to the Students
"In searching for the best school for our sons, we were delighted to find Malden Catholic and its approach to expectations and teaching. There is an obvious passion for teaching and commitment to the students. The teachers expect a lot from the students, but no more than each boy is capable of giving. We were/are most impressed, though, with the students. Ask the boys about their school. They look you in the eye and express pride. They work and learn in the Malden Catholic community. They have a real sense of belonging and accomplishment. It's wonderful."

What students say about MC
Becoming a leader
"Malden Catholic is my second home. I spend just as much time at MC and at MC events as I do with my own family because MC is my family. The school has helped me to mature as a man, mature in my faith, and form my work habits. Malden Catholic has helped me to become the leader I am today. Without MC, I probably would not have been accepted to West Point and would not be as prepared for the next phase of my life. The community has helped me whenever I was in need, without any other reason than that I was a member of the family. MC has helped me in more ways that I can think of, and I hope that one day I will be able to repay Malden Catholic for everything it has given to me."
~Joe Boland, Class of 2007
Sense of community
"For the past six months, MC has been my home away from home. I love it here! The faculty and staff are very caring. I have formed solid friendships and have enjoyed the academic program as well as the extensive extracurricular activities. The overall community spirit MC has is great. I know what I've learned and will continue to learn at MC will stay with me forever."
~Richard Serino, Class of 2010.
Growing academically and spiritually
"Malden Catholic has been an excellent choice for me for high school. I have grown so much as a person both academically and spiritually. The classes are challenging, but manageable. The teachers are always available if I need extra help."
~Chris DeNapoli, Class of 2010.
